Kirsten and Sandy Cohen, characters in The OC. I was watching season 2 yesterday and it really struck me how much work goes into maintaining a relationship, any relationship, married, courting, dating blah blah. And this was JUST a TV show yet I could really see it.
Everyone in a relationship really has to make a CONSCIOUS and CONSCIENTIOUS effort to WORK! Do not leave everything up to fate and give excuses like "let's go with the flow", "I don't know."
Yes, yes, you never know how things will go but if you are missing out the most important part of making the effort and putting in the determination to be serious, how the hell will the relationship work??
You think it will all just magically come to you? That the one you are dating now is the one you settle down with? If you don’t see it and refuse to put in the effort to see it from the start, how is it going to be continue "rightly"? It will just become another random relationship.
