Diving.... wooohooo

I am finally going diving again after almost a year of no achsion. Last dive being tioman. I finally put together a Manado trip with "tie ge", 12 to 17 May, over the Vesak long wk end. We were actually suppose to go Aur this long wk n but it was called off and well...we decided money was better spent going manado for 6 days. :)) i is very very happy!

Some people have been asking me where is Manado...it is in Indonesia, north sulawesi...some maps might help? I am very looking forward to this trip. I am a little apprehensive though...wonder if i will sink (ahem...getit getit...sink?) into slight depression or be in a stoning mood whilez i there. Diving reminds me of that person whom i do not to remember and manado was a location we were always talking abt...and making it one of our diving expeditions. I is scared i will start thinking and start feeling all heartachy about the whole episode.

BUT.... i must say i will enjoy my trip...i WILL definitely force myself to enjoy it lor...come on...it's manado!

We will be staying on Manado island itself, at NDC....nice spa-like resort....massage thrown in some more, we are arranged for the deluxe rooms, i saw the pic i scared worrr....so nice...sure x...but surprisingly it was reasonable...and if it really looks as the site shows it does, it's probably one of the best hotels i've stayed while on vacation? I will tell u all if the website bluff or not when i get back.

diving will take place in Bunaken sites mainly...i will try to get a trip to lembeh, must maximise since we are there rite??

According to dive guides, some of the highlights we can expect to see include colourful soft corals, frogfish (i likeeee), mantis shrimps (my eyes not so good...sure miss one lor), reef sharks, barracudas, trevallies , jacks, ghost pipe fish...critters and other macro stuff...which i am sure to miss. Ohhhh so exciting!

Coz of this dive trip i have to get the following 1) a better wetsuit (ie. long, less tight, and warm) or a thermo top so i can just wear over my shorties 2) underwater casing for my nikon 3) a loaned BC (rental expensive there)

Further inspired by this trip...other trips are in the books already... heee...
1) Bali - to see mola mola...they are so silly-looking...and actually not ez to catch lor....nearest i think only bali have. So this one...must try to do in Jun/ Jul. According to a dive shop contact in Bali...this period sure tio one lorrr.... hmmmm....wonder if there's $ back policy?2) Maldives trip - scheduled for Apr next year. Apparently u go there...you get to see everything...hammer heads, tunas, dolphins, mantas, eagle rays, whale shark...etc etc...basically the dive of your diving career will be in maldives.

3) Sipadan - Kapalai resort...an fren went...and came back with a video of hammerheads...they saw at abt 40+m .... sheesh... -_-
